Scissors pricing

Our branded plans (Starter and Professional) include guided setup and agency-specific configuration, so they don't have a free tier. Our new self-serve plan, Scissors Launch, includes a 90-day free trial with no card required — you set up your workspace yourself and can upgrade to a branded plan at any time.

Scissors Launch is a Scissors-hosted staffing workspace for small agencies who want to get started quickly. It costs $99/month after a 90-day free trial, with no card required to start. Submit your setup details in a few minutes — we'll prepare your workspace within one business day and email you a shareable application link to start accepting candidates. Upgrade to Starter when you're ready for your own branding and custom domain.

Launch is Scissors-hosted and self-serve — ideal for agencies that want to start immediately. Your workspace runs on a Scissors subdomain with no custom branding. Starter adds your own branding, colour scheme, and custom domain, and includes guided setup with our team. If brand experience matters to your clients and candidates, Starter is the right move.

We only charge for active value. A "User" is defined as a worker who has a confirmed job/shift in the calendar month, or an admin account that has logged in during that month. You are not charged for inactive profiles in your database.

Scissors Launch has no minimum contract — your 90-day free trial rolls into a monthly subscription with no lock-in. Branded plans (Starter and Professional) require a minimum one-year commitment because we invest upfront resources to configure, deploy, and maintain your branded staffing platform.

Starter Plan: You pay a flat $500/month for up to 100 users. If you exceed 100 users, you will be automatically upgraded to the Professional plan.
Professional Plan: You are billed $6 per active user/month. There is a minimum monthly billing floor of $600 to ensure your dedicated support and infrastructure are covered.

Scissors Launch has no setup fee — you set it up yourself for free during your 90-day trial. Branded plans (Starter and Professional) have a one-time setup fee to cover branded app configuration and data import. This fee can be split into quarterly instalments if you prefer not to pay it upfront.

If you are a boutique agency with fewer than 100 active workers, the Starter plan offers the best value at a fixed cost. If you need advanced features like GPS Geofencing, complex PDF application forms, or have more than 100 workers, the Professional plan is the best fit.

Scissors Launch requires 30 days' notice and has no early-cancellation fee — there is no annual contract. Branded plans (Starter and Professional) also require 30 days' notice; because these plans have an annual contract commitment, early cancellation may incur a fee for the remainder of the contract term.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) as well as wire transfers and Wise for international customers. We offer both Monthly and Quarterly billing cycles to suit your cash flow.

The only additional costs are for third-party usage modules. If you use our SMS notification feature, variable carrier rates apply. If you use payment-related third-party services, standard provider processing fees may apply.
